The announcement of the 14-song sophomore album Wasteland, Baby! came with a video—the pensive musician jots down the tracklist before moving to a room full of his album art, including that of his fall release Nina Cried Power – EP. (Fun fact: Hozier’s mom makes his beautiful album art… save some talent for the rest of us!)
On Wednesday, Hozier released a syncopated single filled with jazz references titled “Almost (Sweet Music),” and I can already hear it being overplayed on Top 40 radio. Until then, let’s enjoy the honey-sweet hook and guitar-stamped beat of the song in its infancy.
